Richard C. Owen Publishers has a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books. Students get a kick out of Eat Your Broccoli and Dogs at school. Students also enjoy reading books about Henry the dog. The books about Gus and the big spider are hysterical! RR Books offers many informational books on a variety of topics. The informational books have engaging and beautiful photographs.
Students fall in love with Joy Cowley’s characters, The Hungry Giant, Mrs. Wishy Washy, Dan the Flying Man. These stories are written in a way that promotes fluent reading while making the story a favorite for rereading. Hameray also offers a wide variety of nonfiction and fable stories.
Every teacher needs some Danny books in their collection! There is something about Danny that our students love. Mary Ruth has other character series as well such as Danny’s friend Abby and Danny’s best friend Bee.
Blueberry Hill carries many different nonfiction books with interesting photographs. A favorite character is Charlie the dog. Visit their website for free teacher resources.
PM Readers are great for teaching new high-frequency words. Students enjoy the series with Little Bear, Ben, Jolly Roger, Kitty Cat, and many more. They have many great nonfiction books starting at early levels about topics that young readers can relate to.
